Projects & Funding Goals
Together we achieve great things – for our students
Current Projects Seeking Support
These larger projects have been specifically requested by the school community of Gymnasium Neufreimann. The support association is currently raising funds to implement these initiatives. They complement our general support for smaller projects that are not announced in advance.
You can also make designated donations for these projects – your funds will then flow directly into the project of your choice. Donations are tax-deductible under German law.
Workshop Set for Robotics Club
A workshop set is being funded to teach students step by step how to work with robotics systems. The project creates the foundation for building a school team and the prospective participation in robotics competitions, building on our successfully completed funding project Robotics Club – Books & Technology.

Support for the music department
We support musical activities at Neufreimann Grammar School with earmarked donations. The funds are used to purchase necessary instruments, cover repairs, buy sheet music, purchase technical equipment, organise concerts and attend cultural events and concerts. The aim is to promote the musical education of the pupils in the long term and to reliably support the diverse activities of the music department.
This project collects purpose-bound donations without a fixed fundraising target.

The journey continues after 2026: the choir of Gymnasium Neufreimann will take part in 6K UNITED! again in 2027. The support association is once again funding the participation and thereby supporting the students' musical preparation. The joint performance will take place in Munich on 2 July 2027. Participation has already been fully funded by the support association.

6K UNITED! 2026 – Our Choir at Olympiahalle
We enabled the choir of Gymnasium Neufreimann to take part in the 6K UNITED! concert 2026 at the Olympiahalle in Munich. Around 6,000 students sang together a varied programme ranging from pop music and folk music to classical works. For our students, it turned into a very special evening: a large stage, a professional concert environment, singing together with many other schools, and an experience that goes far beyond regular music lessons. These are exactly the kinds of projects we want to make possible as a support association – where children experience community, courage, and joy in music in the most immediate way.The music department sent us this lovely feedback:"A big thank-you to the support association for making our participation in this year's ‘6KUnited!' concert at the Olympiahalle possible. It was an evening that thrilled everyone and will remain in the memory of all those involved for a long time to come!"

Concert T-Shirts for Choir & Tech Crew
The support association funded matching T-shirts for the choir class and the tech team of Gymnasium Neufreimann. They allow the students to appear as a visible team at concerts and school events – on stage, behind the tech desk, and wherever they present the school's musical work. The new shirts create a shared visual identity, strengthen the sense of togetherness, and give performances a more professional frame. They make visible what the students achieve together: musically, organisationally, and as a team.Mr Filser from the music department summed up the effect very fittingly:"Many thanks to the support association for the wonderful choir class T-shirts! The shared appearance strengthens the group feeling on the one hand, and on the other hand the impact on stage is immediately a completely different one!"

Robotics Club – Books & Technology
We funded ten practical textbooks on programming with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime for the Robotics Club. Students in grade levels 5 to 7 can look things up directly at the robot, rebuild models, develop their own programs, and immediately try out their results. The books combine clear instructions with hands-on work on the existing robotics sets. In this way, students strengthen their programming skills, their logical thinking, and their ability to solve technical tasks together and independently.Mr Roth from the Robotics Club describes the impact of the funding as follows:"A big thank-you to the support association! With the new textbooks, our students in grades 5 to 7 can now look things up, rebuild, and experiment on their own – bringing their LEGO Spike robots to life. The enthusiasm is clearly noticeable. That this is possible we owe to the support association – many heartfelt thanks!"Building on this, we are currently raising funds for a workshop set to allow the Robotics Club to further expand its work and give students even more hands-on experience.
Founding Year 2025 – Organizational Development
In May 2025, the Support Association of Gymnasium Neufreimann was founded and registered as a non-profit association under German law. The founding year focused on building strong organizational foundations and establishing reliable structures.
Key activities included:
- the formal founding and registration of the association
- establishing organizational processes and workflows
- coordination with the school administration and school bodies
- preparing initial information and fundraising initiatives
- establishing the financial foundations
Initial measures in areas such as prevention, robotics and sports were developed and planned. This laid the organizational and financial groundwork for the first projects implemented in 2026.

Media Literacy & Social Media Workshops
A project day that not only addresses the risks but primarily teaches safe and responsible use of social media. Topics such as cyberbullying, data protection, digital civil courage, and respectful communication are at the center. The project is developed in close collaboration between the school, the parent council, and the support association, and is structured by grade level. A free workshop has been secured for 7th graders. The support association supports the expansion to additional grade levels through dedicated funding. Funding is secured; implementation is still to come.
